Courtauld Gallery, London
The Courtauld is an exceptional gallery, all the more so for being situated in London where it "competes" with blockbusters like Tate Modern et.al.
It is small, welcoming, has a world class collection - and they allow photography!

Hi Peter - welcome back from Sweden-land. I chickened-out of venturing away from the safety of Switzerland and turned left instead of right at Lausanne. However I will be in Paris sometime soon - hopefully.
