Apart from being extremely painful, I imagine it's terribly inconvenient.

Just dropping in to wish you a Happy New Year, Richard and to admire your photography once again.

Chuckeroon has moved wards - still can't speak to him tho - no phone by his bed. Spoke to his wife again this morning and she confirmed he'll be in for a long time and then home for a long recovery. Poor C.He is apparently able to sit up in bed. Apparently, he was simply out posting a letter and slipped on black ice as he turned a corner.

@ff - well I think he should sue the council. For either not gritting the pavements, or not putting signs up saying ice is slippery.

Okay, thanks Jilly - and Letty for the heads-up. This is pretty much what Jilly said to me off-line one day last week. The long time in hospital is going to grate once he gets his head "repaired". So dangerous, and so simple. I know my life has recently been turned upside down, and moreso has his. i suspect his wife is distraught. Thanks folks.
