Skylines

Clouds and skylines are a bit cliched, but I find them irresistible. They also illustrate though how difficult it is to get the perfect composition. Like here - all the elements are there but they are not quite where you want them. And you are powerless to re-arrange them!

I don't know what more you would expect from the clouds, especially on the first one! Looks perfect to me!

Peter

Maybe I'm too fussy, but I would have liked to be able to move the sun a little closer to the centre in both cases.. alas..

Was it Turner who moved things around in Venice to suit his eye? Certainly a painter did. Your shots looks great to me, Richard.

Hi Jilly - yes, Turner's views can be very "awkward" to reconstruct, and Venice hasn't been rearranged much in the last 150 years. I suppose he would have used Photoshop these days

Marie-Celeste - I've just remembered where that quote comes from.. Morecambe and Wise Christmas Show. The one with Andre Previn?
